NAHS and IFAW Working Together to Help Rez Dogs
The Native America Humane Society and the International Fund for Animal Welfare have teamed up to bring a new way of helping animals to Indian country.
We work to empower communities to find lasting, local, and caring solutions to challenges with roaming dogs on tribal lands.
The initiative combines the experience of NAHS in helping people and their animals on tribal lands with IFAW’s expertise in improving community health and safety through improving animals’ quality of life.
In the coming months we will be piloting this approach on a number of reservations, and training members of those communities in techniques to improve community well-being through improving the lives of dogs.
